Event Details

SPHERE Research Infrastructure is excited to participate in the 4th USENIX Symposium on Vehicle Security and Privacy (VehicleSec ’26), taking place on August 10–11, 2026, in conjunction with the 35th USENIX Security Symposium in Baltimore, MD, USA. VehicleSec aims to bring together an audience of university researchers, scientists, industry professionals, and government representatives to contribute new theories, technologies, and systems on security and privacy issues related to vehicles, their sub-systems, supporting infrastructures, and related fundamental technologies.

SPHERE will be represented at the symposium by Community Outreach Director David Balenson to engage with the vehicle security and privacy research community, learn about evolving infrastructure needs, and share how SPHERE supports innovative, reproducible experimentation in security and privacy research.

Designed to accelerate scientific discovery, SPHERE enables researchers to explore topics such as industrial control system (ICS) security, Internet of Things (IoT) behavior and privacy, AI-driven threat detection, and more—across a range of realistic, flexible experimental environments. SPHERE enables reproducible cybersecurity experimentation that accelerates scientific progress.
