Network and Distributed System Security Symposium 2025

Event Details

SPHERE Research Infrastructure participated in the Network and Distributed System Security (NDSS) Symposium, held in San Diego, California, on February 24-28, 2025. Nearly 700 academics, industry researchers, and security practitioners gathered to explore the latest advancements in Internet and systems security. NDSS aims to help make the internet more secure through identifying new security attacks and developing new security technologies.

Jelena Mirkovic, Principal Investigator, and David Balenson, Community Outreach Director, presented SPHERE during the poster session, showcasing its architecture, capabilities, and opportunities for collaboration. Through conversations with attendees, they highlighted how SPHERE supports reproducible, scalable cybersecurity experimentation across domains such as IoT, ICS, AI-driven defense, and privacy, contributing to NDSS’s mission of advancing open, impactful research that strengthens Internet security.
