Cybersecurity Experimentation and Test Workshop 2025
Event Details
SPHERE Research Infrastructure is excited to participate in the Cyber Security Experimentation and Test (CSET) workshop, taking place Monday, December 8, 2025, in Honolulu, Hawaii, preceding the Annual Computer Security Applications Conference (ACSAC).
Now in its 18th year, CSET provides a unique forum for discussing the “meta” aspects of cybersecurity—reliability, reproducibility, ethics, scalability, and more—across research, practice, and education. The workshop emphasizes scientific rigor and community-driven approaches to experimental cybersecurity.
At this year’s workshop, Jelena Mirkovic, Principal Investigator, and David Balenson, Community Outreach Director, will attend the CSET workshop at ACSAC to engage with the community to exchange ideas on infrastructure needs, experiment design, and ways SPHERE can support the broader research ecosystem.
SPHERE empowers researchers with a flexible, reproducible platform for cybersecurity experimentation across domains such as ICS security, IoT privacy, and AI-based threat detection—enabling impactful, scalable studies grounded in real-world relevance. SPHERE is proud to support the CSET community and its commitment to building robust foundations for cybersecurity research.
